Having a problem with your site, email or using Smart Sites?

Here are some suggestions and steps you can take to fix any problems you might have. Please email us with problems. If you choose to call and the problem is something with your computer or ISP, we will bill you for our time. If the problem is our fault, the call is free.

First thing to check:

Server Status
This page will show if the web server is up and running. If it is up, it may be a problem with your computer or your ISP. If the server is down, we know about it and are working to get it fixed ASAP.

Problem: I my email isn't working.

Solutions:
AOL and MSN users can't use a pop email account. This means that if you are using email with your domain, that we host, your email is forwarded to your AOL or MSN email account. So if you are trying to pop your email or use your domain's SMTP server, it won't work.

Is your website coming up? If no, make sure you can surf to other sites (if you are here, you can).

If yes, what's changed since the last time your email worked? Have you made any changes to your computer?

Try logging in online, go to yourwebsite.com/webmail
You will be prompted for your username and password, your username is your full email address:
you@yourdomain.com. If this works, there is nothing we can do for you, it's something on your computer. If this does not work, please email us for assistance, support @ cyberelement.com.

Problem: My website is not coming up.

Solutions:
Are other websites coming up for you? If the answer is no, you are having a problem with your internet connection and need to call your isp.

Have you checked the webserver status page? Is the server currently down? If this page is up, it's not down.

Have you recently moved to our server? It takes a few days to get things moved over.

Has your domain name expired? We monitor the domains and pay renewal fees when they come due, but occasionally we don't have access to the actual domain to perform this service. You can check by going to http://www.netsol.com. Click on whois and type in your domain name. Look at the information. You can see the date it expires and the DNS information, which should read:

ns.cyberelement.com
ns2.cyberelement.com

If all is correct and up to date, you can surf everywhere else, email us for assistance, support @ cyberelement.com.

Problem: I can't figure out how to update my webpage.

Solutions:
Are you using Smart Sites? Have we set you up with the proper software to maintain your own site?

If you are using Contribute, there is a very comprehensive tutorial that comes with the program. Take a few minutes to go through it and use the help in the program. If you are still having problems, email us for assistance, support @ cyberelement.com.

Problem: I don't remember how to use my cpanel.

Solution:
To log in, go to yourdomain.com/cpanel and enter your username and password. If you don't have this information, email us to request it, support @ cyberelement.com.

The main areas you will be interested in are mail, webmail and Web/FTP stats.

In the mail section you can add and delete email accounts.

In the stats section you can monitor your visitors, site traffic and how well you are doing with search engines. We recommend AWStats. They are the easiest to read.
