Custom Shapes in Photoshop

This class shows you how to make custom shapes in Photoshop. Create a shape in Photoshop and save it for future use. Create a shape in Illustrator and bring it into Photoshop as a shape. The shapes are used as clipping masks. We create a path and run a brush on it. You will make your own library of shapes to keep and use for any project.

This course contains over 30 minutes in instruction. This course was created in Photoshop CS5 but is appropriate for any version of Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. It is targeted to digital scrapbooking, but graphic designers, web designers and photographers will find it very useful as well. This course is for Beginner to advanced users. 

Making Selections in Photoshop

This course is for beginner through advance. We start with the very basics of making selections with the selection tools. We create more complex selections with quick mask mode and channels. We cover refine selection and refine mask (cs4 and above). We explore masks, layer masks, clipping masks, alpha channels. Mastering selections and masking allows for non-destructive editing of your images. Never use the eraser tool to obliterate pixels!
